GM 2017 L5P Duramax Diesel 6.6L 8th Vin code "Y"
The Newest engine to come out in the HD line of Duramax diesel engine equipped pickup trucks. The new L5P has 445 hp 910 ft lbs of torque from the factory. Equipped with an engine brake and all the latest electronics the Duramax with Allison transmission platform is still one of the easiest to maintain in the class. The major change to the maintenance end of it is the fuel filter. It has been changed to a cartridge filter mounted underneath the truck by the fuel tank.
